JCrew Blog Kickoff

So today we kick off the JCrew family blog! My hope is that this will help us stay in touch with our family and friends. Having two teenagers in the house and another one this December (can you believe!?), we should all be able to add our memories. This summer has kept us busy so far and we are enjoying the warm weather. Taylor starts his job this coming Monday, working for a local farmer doing hybrid organic corn. He is saving for a trip to Rome with his foreign language class. (I'll have him post all about, truly amazing opportunity for him!) Kate is busy rapping up the end of her reign as Honored Queen for her Job's daughters bethel. It has been a crazy six months, but she has handled the challenges and responsilities so well. Drew is busy with HALO on x-box and preparing for football this fall. Hannah joined Jobies in May and has just had the best time! She went to Grand Session for the first time this summer (a gathering of all the bethels from the state of Idaho) and was given the opportunity to donate her hair to "Locks of Love". She had 12 inches cut and was left with a darling short little bob! Carter's summer started off a little rocky:/. He received 2nd degree burns on his right hand when he touched a stove burner. It all happened so quickly and was extremely frightening. I am happy to report that after several trips to a hand therapist and many dressing changes, he is as good as new! It is truly amazing how reselient kiddos can be. I'm working with Covance as a Clinical Research Coordinator and recently passed my certification exam! Work and kiddos are keeping me very busy but I'm enjoying all of the challenges. Love to all- Colleen
