Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays to all of our friends and family! This Christmas has been a little different as it was just the kids and me. Typically we spend Christmas Eve with my parents, my brother and his family, and my sister. This left the cooking and planning to me... I know so scary ;) We had a wonderful dinner Christmas Eve (if I do say so myself) and even better conversation. Life has kept us so busy, it was nice to just sit and relax and enjoy one another. Drew asked Carter if he knew who was coming to our house that night. Carter responded with a "huh?" and Drew told him Santa Clause was coming. Carter then said "That is sooooo awesome!" It was such a funny moment, Carter seems to learn new words everyday. After dinner, the snow really started to come down and the kids decided to build a snowman. They had such a blast! Eventually a snowball fight ensued and the building of "Fort Taylor" began. I had to drag them in around 10 to save our neighbors from all of the noise :) We are looking forward to celebrating the season with the rest of the family this Saturday. What could be better than celebrating such a beautiful time of year twice? :) We wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas! Peace to All- Colleen and Family

The Honorable Judge Greenwood!

Congratulations to my dad who was appointed as District 4 Judge in Boise! He received a phone call from Govenor Otter on Wednesday with the exciting news. We are all sooo proud of him! I got the call from my dad while I was finishing up last minute Christmas shopping in Walmart. I did a little dance right there in the isle and I think its possible I might have jumped up and down as well :) This is such wonderful news in so many ways. It means goodbye to the harsh world of self employment and the best part- my parents are moving to Boise!! My dad has all of the qualites needed to be an incredible Judge- he is fair, kind, full of great advice (I would not be where I am today if not for his words of wisdom), and a strong set of values. Congrats again dad! Love-Colleen

A Day of Thanks

Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays. There is just something so special about preparing a meal with family and spending the day together. Thanksgiving day, much like Halloween, was just beautiful. We joked with my dad that he could be out golfing :) We took sometime before our dinner to take a few family pictures. As usual, mom and dad pulled off a fabulous meal and we all ate way too much! I have so much to be thankful for and enjoyed the weekend with family to reflect on the important things in life.

Belated Halloween

Well I guess it is a good thing the New Year isn't here just yet because I would have already failed to meet my goal.... I have been so far behind on blogging and I will really try to get better :/ I'm actually a little embarrassed to post Halloween pictures in December, but there are some really cute ones I wanted to share. We spent Halloween with Ben's family along with Beth and Nick and could not have asked for a nicer evening. I honestly cannot remember a Halloween where a coat and mittens were not a necessity. Carter wasn't sure about this whole "Halloween thing" until he realized candy was involved :) I made my traditional Halloween meal-chilli- and Melissa and the girls treated us all to pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. They were the perfect topper the night.
