Fall Installation

Today was a bitter sweet day as Kate relinquished her Honored Queen role. The ceremony was beautiful and I know that she is relieved in many ways to be done. This was also a big day for Hannah as she was installed into her first office as Junior Custodian. One of the traditions in Jobies, is that the girls do a final tribute to the past Honored Queen. Kate received a beautiful blanket, the cutest stuffed elephant, and a dozen roses from all of her fellow jobies. As a mom, it was very touching to see one daughter come towards the end as the other daughter is just begining. Kate seems so grown up and Hannah's little feet can't even touch the floor when she sits in her chair. I want to thank Heidi, the Bethel Guardian, as well as my dear friend Anita, for all that they have done in helping Kate this term as well as me. Having never been a Jobie myself, so much of this is new, Heidi and Anita have been extremely patient with me. I should have learned all the tricks of the trade by the time Hannah will take on more important roles. Congratulations Kate on a job well done!
